Don't Leave It To Chance

I like options., they lead me up to so many wonderful outcomes. But like all things in life, you must plan to achieve the outcomes you desire.  Like a ship at sea without a rudder, without proper planning, you will end up on the rocks.  Before you invest a dime in the next big thing, it is essential that you must develop a your own “playbook” and you must follow that playbook without exception.  With the proper knowledge you can control the outcome.  I have my rules and I never deviate from them!  Well that’s not true, I have from time to time deviated from them, but when I did, nine out of ten times I have ended up on the rocks.  Living life without your playbook is the same as pulling the lever on a slot machine, you put your money in, you pull the level, and you hope for a good result.  If you are very lucky you will hit it big, but like most spins, you will only contribute to someone else’s wealth.  I don’t like that – that is a plan to fail.  Based on my experience, here are my top three rules:

Ø  Rule #1 – Write down your rules.
Ø  Rule #2 - Never deviate from your rules.
Ø  Rule #3 – When you are thinking about deviating from your rules, refer to rule #2.

The Journey Begins

Life has a way a putting us exactly where we planned to be. On the surface that statement sounds ludicrous.  I have many friends and associates who frankly would disagree - after all, no one ever plans to fail, and I have had many failures in my life.  Upon reflection - that hindsight thing - I can only come to one conclusion.
Each of my failures where linked by a common core.  I did not plan to succeed
Seems a strange place to start,  here on my initial post for Aspect Financial Solutions, talking about failure, unless we put failure into its correct perspective! I hold each and every failure close to my heart, for each one has taught me an invaluable lesson and has charted this incredible journey - my life.
